Grade 10-11-12 Community Hours
Grade 10, 11 & 12 physical education students will be required to complete volunteer service in the semester as part of course work. Grade 10 students will be expected to complete 10 hours. Grade 11 students will be expected to complete 12 hours. Grade 12 students will be expected to complete 15 hours. Half of the required hours will be completed by November 23, 2008. Students can attain community hours by volunteer in the following activities as examples:
- Peer teaching
- Sporting events
- Intramurals
- Community events
- School events
- Other (see Mr. Oliver if you have an idea)
During and after the students have completed their community hours, they will be required to reflect and expand on their personal leadership skills by submitting a four page double spaced paper detailing the volunteer experiences they were a part of and the meaningful contributions they made to the community.
