Scorekeeping/Lineskeeping
Scorekeeping:
When basketball season comes around, our games just can't happen if we dont have scorekeepers. We require 3 people to run "the table." We have one person who runs the score board/time clock, one person doing the scoresheet, and one person who runs the 30 second shot clock. This is a great way to earn your community hours and to watch a great game of basketball.
Lineskeeping:
On the other hand, when the soccer season kicks in, we need a little help as well. Lineskeeping consists of 2 people on the opposite side of the field making the call for who gets the ball, should it go out of play. If the home team kicks it out, the flag gets pointed towards the direction that the away team is shooting. Also, the lineskeeper will put their flag out to signal if a player is offside. Fairly simple and it is also a great way to earn community hours.
