MECHANICS 10 L1 (TEC 10 - # 682) In this course students will look at power sources, theory of carburetion, theory of ignition system and look at basic engine parts in detail. Students will work on 4-stroke and 2-stroke air cooled engines as well as building a small electronic project. Emphasis will be on safety and employability skills. A $10.00 course fee will be charged. (Applied Skills)

MECHANICS 10 L2 (TEC 10 - # 688) A review of concepts taught in mechanics 9 with emphasis on air cooled 2-stroke engines. Students will be expected to work safely and cooperatively on jobs, maintenance and operation a 2 stroke engine. Students will be introduced to basic car care. Fees are required to cover the cost of projects or materials used. Prerequisite: Mechanics 9 Applied Skills

POWER MECHANICS 9 (MX9 - #782) This is an introductory course in mechanics covering such areas as shop safety, tools, types of engines, principles of operation of an air cool 4-stroke engine. Most of the time will be spent on jobs, maintenance and operations of the small lawnmower engine. (Applied Skill)
