Course Changes
Field Trip Travel Fees
Students will be allowed to change courses during the first week of the semester. Students may be allowed to change courses during the second week of the semester if they have talked to their teachers and parents, and have a plan of action for catching up in the course that they are entering. Course change requests impacting on academic courses must have written permission from parents.
Withdrawal
Grade 12 students may be allowed to withdraw from a course following the first report card of the semester. Parental permission is required. Withdrawal does not appear as a failure on the report card.
Grade 11 students will not be allowed to withdraw from any course, unless there are exceptional circumstances such as illness. Students may choose to fail by not doing the assigned work. In that case they will remain with the same teacher in the same room, and use their time as supervised study. Parents will be involved in this decision making process.
